bio Began his musical career in 1989 with Suede. The band won the Mercury Music Prize in 1993 with their first album, entitled Suede, becoming one of the pioneers of the Britpop movement. Suede disbanded in 2003 after having released 5 studio albums. Anderson formed the band The Tears in 2004 with Bernard Butler. The Tears’s only album, Here Come the Tears, was released in 2005. Anderson released his first solo album, bearing his own name, in 2007. His second album, Wilderness and his third album Slow Attack were released in 2008 and 2009, respectively. His fourth album, Black Rainbows, is to be released under the EMI label in September 2011.
