Much talked-about darkwave and synthpop band of the local music scene in Turkey.

Jakuzi was formed by Kutay Soyocak and Taner Yücel in 2016. With their synthesisers that take you on a tour through the ‘80s and Kutay’s stand-out vocals, it was an instant love connection for the listeners. True to its title, they released their first album ‘Fantezi Müzik’ on cassette tape through Domuz Records and became darlings of the local scene. Without missing a beat, they made a splash internationally as well, and signed with Berlin-based City Slang Records. They got positive reviews from global media platforms such as The Guardian and The Quietus and toured in Europe with shows in significant festivals such as Grup Primavera Club, Donaufest, Synästhesie and Pop Kultur. Taner Yücel is now on the producer and composer seats of the band, whereas Kutay Soyocak keeps performing on stage. Their widely acclaimed 2019 album ‘Hata Payı’ explores darker areas such as new new-wave, post-punk, darkwave, krautrock and lo-fi.
