Garanti BBVA Concerts: Janus Rasmussen / Before: Ruede Hagelstein

Garanti BBVA Concerts: Janus Rasmussen / Before: Ruede Hagelstein

One half of Kiasmos, who delivered an unforgettable concert at Salon İKSV followed by another at the first Gezgin Salon.

Kiamos is the foremost project of Janus Rasmussen’s musical adventure that started on the Faroe Islands and continues in Reykjavík. But there are other parts to this adventure that are just as beautiful as Kiasmos. Janus Rasmussen was also the mastermind behind the electro-pop outfit Bloodgroup, currently on stand-by. However, his solo career is about to become the headliner of his musical adventure. On his minimal techno voyage that started with Bloodgroup and continues with Kiasmos where he joined up with Ólafur Arnalds, the talented producer drops anchor into a very special harbour with his first solo album, Vin. This album, released by Ki Records last March, leads to the discovery of new worlds through sounds and could be considered the producer’s masterwork… This ambient gem that magically surrounds the audience in every second, brings Janus Rasmussen to Salon İKSV for one of the outstanding performances of the season.

Ruede Hagelstein
who?

Multi-functional German artist who creates under various titles of the music world, including producer, singer, lyricist, editor and DJ.

what?

An artist of many talents hailing from the golden capital of electronic music, Berlin, Ruede Hagelstein’s career took a turn when he moved from the suburbs to the city centre at the age of 20. Just like many other youngsters dreaming of becoming a rock star, he sang at the choir. Hagelstein worked as an editor for various magazines including Groove, FLYER and PRINZ magazines. He started DJing at the end of the 90s and became the in-house DJ of Watergate, one of the most popular clubs in Berlin. Hagelstein’s remixes were noticed by prominent record labels such as Kitsune, Eskimo and Cocoon. Over the years he has become one of the indispensable names of record labels including Watergate Records, You You You, Bedrock and Souvenir. In addition to his electronic music career, he has also founded the indie-electronica band “Ruede Hagelstein and The Noblettes” and has established his own mix studio where he has co-produced with names such as Adana Twins, Move D and Tiefschwarz. Hagelstein has released the albums ‘Soft Pack’ in 2011, and ‘Apophenia’ in 2015.
