‘How does it feel, to treat me like you do?’ must still ring in your ears. If so, come join us to sing along with Flunk on their extra special Salon gig that marks the 18th anniversary of their album ‘Morning Star’ and the release of its updated version.

Sometime in late autumn 2000, coincidence put the three core members of Flunk together. Ulf Nygaard, producer and front man of a platinum selling Norwegian pop act, was working on some instrumental tracks. Jo Bakke came in to add some guitar, and later Anja Øyen Vister did some improvised vocals on a few tracks. Their most popular release to date, ‘Blue Monday’, is included in lots of compilations, several movies and even originated a music genre from the early 2000s: Folktronica. Flunk's debut album ‘For Sleepyheads Only’, released exactly 20 years ago, came at the height of the chill-out era, just after the success of Röyksopp. The band have played more live shows in Istanbul than in their native Oslo, and Istanbul is in fact the one city in the world with most Flunk listeners on streaming services. The band have released seven studio albums, several remix albums and an album of home recorded cover songs. The follow-up to the latter, ‘Cover Ups, vol 2’, will be out next spring.
